Adjustable Current LED Driver for Li-ion

This product is a current regulation integrated circuit operating from an input voltage of 2.8V to 6V. The constant output current can be set up to 1.5A with an external resistor. It consists of high reference voltage, amplifier, current mirror, etc. The on-chip power transistor and current sense block greatly reduce the external component count, making this product ideal for LED driver.

The working voltage of this device is DC 2.8-6V, suitable for 3V, 3.3V, 3.7V, 4.5V, 5V, and 6V LED drivers. The output current ranges from 30mA to 1500mA, with a maximum output power of 9W. It can drive 1 to 16 pieces of 2.8-6V LEDs, as long as the maximum current does not exceed 1.5A.

The current regulation is achieved through two methods: 1) adjustable resistance, and 2) PWM control. The weight of the package is 0.56g, and the package list includes 1 Adjustable Current LED Driver.

When the CE (Chip Enable) pin is high, and the input voltage is greater than 2.8V and larger than the LED forward voltage plus the required voltage drop, the device functions normally to deliver constant current from the LED pin.

The product adopts temperature regulation instead of temperature function. The temperature regulation can ensure the LED is turned on continuously in case of high ambient temperature or high voltage drop. When the junction temperature reaches about 100°C, the temperature regulation mechanism begins to function.

The chip also features an enable function, which can shut down the whole chip to limit the current consumption within 1uA. Additionally, it has an over-current block. When the LED current approaches 1.9A (Typical), the over-current block begins to function to prevent the LED current from increasing further.
